I have to caution everyone--because I live an hour from Winchester--the Northern Virginia Daily (in Strasburg, VA) has reported that a deal MUST be in place from any minor league team before the Winchester City Council can sign off on a new stadium.

Personally, I'd like to see it happen. If not the #HagerstownSuns (the low-A affiliate of the #Nats), then certainly another existing team can play there.
But the story points out NOTHING gets done until a commitment from a minor league is in place. So don't read anything into this, OK?
That's all I'm saying on the subject...for now, anyway.
