Oh, THIS'LL be fun...LMAO

http://www.natsinsider.com/2012/01/lidge-nats-can-make-playoff-run.html From Nats Insider, why Brad Lidge will make his presence known for the Nats this year.
Who knows? Maybe THIS is the year the Nats make a run for the NL wild card...

SOME day, perhaps?

RT @nvdaily Officials: Big-league benefits in baseball: WINCHESTER -- Baseball: The great American game. It's sport. It's en... From the #NorthernVirginiaDaily (in...I shit you not...#StrasburgVA), a story about the possibility of minor league baseball coming to #WinchesterVA.
Personally, I'd like to see it happen. If not the #HagerstownSuns (the low-A affiliate of the #Nats), then certainly another existing team can play there.
But the story points out NOTHING gets done until a commitment from a minor league is in place. So don't read anything into this, OK?
That's all I'm saying on the subject...for now, anyway.

Is this called "covering your ass", Rizzo?

http://www.natsinsider.com/2012/01/rizzo-on-fielder-negotiations.html Mike Rizzo (via Nats Insider), perhaps feeding the bullshit machine JUST a bit too much.
At any rate, his explanation of why Prince Fielder got away from the Nats--while introducing Gio Gonzalez to the media.
All in all, I still point out we need a PERMANENT answer @ 1B. Care to address THAT, Rizzo?

Stick to the plan...?

http://www.natsinsider.com/2012/01/sticking-to-their-plan.html All right, so we DIDN'T get Prince Fielder. What's "Plan B"?
Maybe after reading this (from Nats Insider), you'll know more than I do...or for that matter, the Nats front office.
Either way, I still point out we need a LONG TERM 1B!! Does anyone hear me, or am I pissing in the wind??

SHAFTED, yet AGAIN!!

How else to describe the collective scream of Nationals fans, on learning Prince Fielder won't be wearing a curly "W" on his head?
Instead, he'll be in...Detroit? Tis the case, I'm afraid. 9 yrs/$234 mix, is the deal.
So he goes "home", to where his old man Cecil made HIS name. First Mark Texiera, and now this. WHY are we treated like shit by big-name players? I ask you.
(At least the saving grace in this, is that it AIN'T the Marlins...)
So now we STILL need a 1B, cause Adam LaRoche AIN'T the long-term answer. As much as Michael Morse did yeoman work last year...he belongs in LF.
Well, there's the Gio Gonzalez press conference tomorrow to keep me happy...lol

Top 20 Nats prospects

RT @AdamKilgoreWP In the wake of the Gio Gonzalez trade, Baseball Prospectus's @Kevin_Goldstein ranks the Nats' top 20 prospects.
Nice to see some of these guys (Sammy Solis in particular) get some notice.
To think, only 5 weeks till spring training...GO NATS!!
